Handi-House is the oldest, most established PORTABLE BUILDING manufacturer in the Southeast, manufacturing and striving for excellence since 1966, close to 50 years of distributing storage buildings throughout the South. We have a wide variety of structures and styles of storage buildings to meet each customer's individual needs. We range from the most economically priced units to the more elaborate buildings to meet certain state or residential code requirements.
Manufacturing Standards
At our manufacturing facility in Swainsboro, Georgia we are centrally located to distribute buildings throughout the Southeast. We have three separate plants on this site in which each produces a different type of building that enables us to offer the variety to best meet your needs.
All units are either wood structure with #1 southern yellow pine that enable us to meet the higher wind zones or our steel stud structure of either 18 or 20 gauge steel that both meet the 150 mph wind zones required in certain coastal regions of Florida.
With both the wood and steel framing of our buildings, we are able to adjust or add additional bracing that is needed for the engineering requirements of the different wind zones throughout Florida and other southern states. We also construct our buildings with a variety of trim packages that enhance the appearance and aesthetic of each unit.
As each unit is passed through each phase of construction, certain inspections are required to pass the unit to the final phase for a complete check out. After final inspection, your storage building is ready for shipment to our Handi House dealers.

It is our hope that every customer is treated by our Handi-House dealer as honestly and respectfully as possible.
Handi-House guarantees all aluminum siding against rust and corrosion as specified by our aluminum suppliers for twenty (20) years. We also guarantee against defects in workmanship for five (5) years.
*However, improper installation, misuse, or any alteration of this unit other than by Handi-House MFG Company personnel may make this warranty null and void.

We are a distributor for R&B Metal Structures, out of Jackson, GA. We can take custom orders for car ports, RV covers, barns- even churches and gyms! R&B Metal Structures has been in business for more than ten years, and we’ve experienced drastic growth in those years. We have designed, built, and installed over 100,000 units through our dealers, located throughout the Southeast.
Metal Building Options
We offer a variety of high quality metal buildings, including:
- Carports: covers, typically placed over a driveway, to protect personal or commercial vehicles
- Garages: enclosed covers with optional roll-up doors, and can be customized with entryways and windows
- Barns: these structures can be open or closed and typically have lean-tos attached
- Storage Buildings: storage buildings are typically completely enclosed and may have a single or multiple entryways or roll-up door
- Utility / Combo Buildings: these buildings typically have one portion enclosed and one portion open, and often combine a carport-type building and a garage-type building
- Boat & Dock Covers: these are often carport-style structures with leg lengths to adjust for height of boat and/or docks
- ATV Covers: these carport-style metal structures have lower leg lengths to adjust for the size of traditional ATVs
- RV Covers: these structures are often carport-styles that have increased leg lengths to accommodate the height of any RV
- Agricultural Buildings: our agricultural buildings are typically completely enclosed and ideal for housing livestock and/or agricultural equipment
- Industrial Buildings: industrial buildings have a variety of uses and are typically enclosed on at least three sides
